My main interests are in the diagnosis of disease, I am especially interested in my parasitology module. Currently, I am working on my final year project which is focused on the effects of micro and nano plastics (MNP) on the northern fulmar. The fulmar acts as a biomarker for plastic pollution and I will be using qPCR to analyse the expression of genes in birds with high and low plastic stomach content
