Project Overview

My project focuses on the effects of radiation exposure on the miRNAome of Zebrafish when in a state of induced torpor. Analysing the differential miRNA expression and determining its effect on biological pathways within the model organism will help determine if induced torpor is a viable countermeasure against the ionising radiation that astronauts will be exposed to on long-duration spaceflights.
